- In Karakol, a new power transformer is planned to be installed at the 110/10 kV substation "Kun Batys," as reported by the Issyk-Kul Electric Networks Enterprise.

It is expected that the project will be implemented in April 2026 as part of the energy infrastructure modernization program carried out by the Ministry of Energy.

The following activities are planned under this initiative:


Currently, there is one power transformer with a capacity of 16 MVA operating at the substation. After the new equipment is installed, the capacity of the substation will increase to 26 MVA, according to information from the enterprise.

Company representatives emphasize that there has been an increase in the number of consumers in recent years. In 2023, the substation provided electricity to about 4,400 subscribers, and currently, their number has increased to 4,625.

The implementation of the project will be financed through the internal funding of the Open Joint-Stock Company "National Electric Network of Kyrgyzstan."
