- In January 2026, the share of the mining sector in Kyrgyzstan's industrial production was 10%. The main focus was on processing industries, whose share reached 73.3%. This data was presented in reports by the National Statistical Committee.

Sectors engaged in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning accounted for 15.9%, while water supply, wastewater treatment, and waste processing systems made up only 0.8%.

The total production volume in the mining sector in January 2026 reached 6,970.4 million soms. The physical volume index compared to January 2025 was 137.7%, indicating significant growth in this sector.

The main factor for the increase in the mining industry was the rise in the extraction of metal ores and other minerals, each of which increased by 1.7 times. There was also an increase in the extraction of coal and lignite, which amounted to 16.8%.

However, some segments noted a decline: the volumes of crude oil and natural gas extraction fell by 26%.
