The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reports on the discovered corruption scheme at the Republican Blood Center of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the investigation, it was established that the former director of the RBC "K.B.B.", who held the position from 2012 to August 2025, conspired with the head of the LLC "M". As a result of their actions, expensive medical equipment was installed, including Cobas S201 and ARCHITECT Plus PCR laboratories from ABBOTT. After the equipment was installed, the former director signed a contract with LLC "M" for the supply of reagents for the laboratories, which were supplied at inflated prices for five years. As a bribe, part of the money was returned to the director of "K.B.B.".
As a result of the audit of the financial operations of the RBC for the period from 2020 to 2025, the damage caused to the state amounted to 36 million soms due to the actions of the former director of "K.B.B." and the company LLC "M".
On March 5, 2026, the former director of "K.B.B." was taken into custody at the pre-trial detention center of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic. A legal assessment will be conducted regarding the head of LLC "M" as the investigation continues.
Investigative actions are ongoing, during which other officials involved in the corruption scheme are being identified.
