During his speech, Ibraev highlighted the importance of ensuring the flexibility of the energy system, which is becoming a major challenge in the energy transition process with the increasing share of renewable energy sources (RES). He emphasized the need for the development of energy storage systems, modernization of grid infrastructure, and the implementation of modern mechanisms for balancing energy supply.
The minister also focused on the significance of regional integration, which helps enhance the resilience of energy systems, reduce the risks of electricity shortages, and efficiently utilize existing resources.
“This summit is one of the largest international events in the energy sector, bringing together ministers, leaders of major energy companies, representatives of international organizations, and experts to discuss current issues and prospects for the development of the sector,” the press service stated.
