Shailoobek Atazov, former deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, has been released under a travel ban, according to media reports.
He was detained in the fall of 2025 on suspicion of organizing mass riots.
It has also been reported that Kubanychbek Kadyrov, another former deputy, has been released.
On November 22, 2025, numerous arrests took place. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported the disruption of a destructive group preparing for mass riots following the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh. Among those detained were political figures, former deputies, and the son of former president Almazbek Atambaev. In total, law enforcement agencies reported the detention of 10 individuals, all of whom were remanded in custody by court decision:
- Temirlan Sultanbekov;
- Shailoobek Atazov (former deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh);
- Ermek Ermatov (reported to be the driver of Temirlan Sultanbekov);
- Damir Musakeev (former head of the Ninth Service of the GKNB and deputy chairman of the special services, head of state security for Almazbek Atambaev);
- Kadyr Atambaev (son of Almazbek Atambaev);
- Urmаt Askarbekov (businessman);
- Kubanychbek Kadyrov (former deputy of parliament);
- A. u. E., born in 1993;
- K.N., born in 1993;
- Sh.T., born in 1986.
They are charged under Articles 36 "Preparation for a Crime," 41 "Types of Accomplices," 278 "Organization of Mass Riots," and 326 "Violent Seizure of Power" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
