Lawyer Nurbek Toktakunov reported that at the court session, some of the detainees saw each other for the first time. Additionally, two defendants claimed that they had been subjected to torture.
According to the defender, this concerns the suspects Akjolov and Kubanychbekov, who spoke about the pressure exerted on them to obtain testimony against Shailoobek Atazov. At the same time, as Toktakunov noted, Atazov's connections with other individuals involved in the case remain unclear.
It should be reminded that in November 2025, law enforcement agencies detained ten people in connection with the case of preparing mass riots. At that time, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of arrest. Among those detained were members of the "Social Democrats" party and former deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the individuals involved in the case allegedly prepared a series of rallies across the country following the early parliamentary elections.
