Yoon Suk Yeol
Yoon Suk Yeol, who was previously re-arrested in July 2025 for obstruction of justice, is now under investigation for rebellion and other charges.

According to South Korean law, the maximum period of detention during the first instance trial is six months. However, if new charges are brought, the court may extend this period. It is expected that Yoon Suk Yeol's arrest may be extended for an additional six months.

On April 4, 2025, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Korea granted the impeachment motion against the former president due to the unsuccessful attempt to impose martial law in December 2024, which officially led to his removal from office.

On January 26, 2025, Yoon Suk Yeol was formally charged with organizing a rebellion.
