The delegation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan visited Astana to sign a cooperation program between Kyrgyzhydromet and Kazhydromet.

From February 8 to 10, a delegation from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan was in Astana (Kazakhstan) with the aim of signing a cooperation program between Kyrgyzhydromet and Kazhydromet. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

During the visit, a bilateral meeting took place at the Republican State Enterprise "Kazhydromet," attended by representatives from both countries, including the First Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Azamat Mambetov and the Vice Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation of Kazakhstan Nurlan Aldamzharov.

As a result of the meeting, a Cooperation Program in the field of operational and production activities between the Hydrometeorological Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan and RGP Kazhydromet for the period 2026–2028 was signed.

The document was signed on behalf of Kyrgyzhydromet by Director Timur Almatov, and on behalf of RGP Kazhydromet by General Director Danara Alimbayeva.

The program aims to develop cooperation in the field of hydrometeorology and to expand information exchange, which will allow for more effective forecasting of hazardous natural phenomena and disasters.
