9 million seedlings are planned to be planted in 2026 as part of the "Zhasyl Muras" project

At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee on Agricultural Policy on March 16, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources Almaz Musaev presented data on the planting of green spaces in the context of the president's initiative "Zhasyl Muras."

In 2022, 6 million 486 thousand seedlings were planted in the country, covering an area of 4223 hectares.

In 2023, this figure increased to 7 million 572 thousand seedlings, planted over 5000 hectares, with a planting efficiency of 64.35%.

In 2024, the area of green spaces increased to 5774 hectares, where 8 million 147 thousand seedlings were planted, achieving an efficiency rate of 83%.

The plan for 2025 was set at 8.5 million seedlings; however, 8 million 239 thousand were actually planted over an area of 6420 hectares, resulting in a productivity rate of 74.57%.

For 2026, the planting of 9 million seedlings is planned, and preparatory work is already in full swing.

“These data have been coordinated with regional administrations and are being closely monitored for planning,” he noted.
