185 schoolchildren who took 1st and 2nd places in previous competitions at the district and city levels are participating in this stage. This year, the competitions cover 17 subjects.
The olympiad takes place on February 27 and 28, 2026. As a result of determining the winners and prizewinners, they will have the right to participate in the final republican round, which will be held on March 27 and 28.
Cholponai Sydykova, the director of the Issyk-Kul Regional Institute of Education, noted that the main goal of the olympiad is to raise the educational level of students, as well as to identify and support gifted youth in the region.
