Sadyr Japarov Suspends Private Driving School Licenses for Six Months

The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, has issued a decree that introduces a trial period from January 30 to August 30, 2026. This regime aims to improve the regulation of educational activities related to the training and retraining of drivers of motor vehicles.

During this period, the licenses issued to private driving schools for conducting educational activities in this area will be suspended.

Thus, only state driving schools will be able to conduct driver training during the trial period.

The Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic has been tasked with preparing drafts of the necessary regulatory legal acts based on the results of the trial for submission to the President's Administration.

As reported by the press service of the head of state, this decree has been adopted with the aim of improving the system of state regulation of licensed activities, enhancing the existing licensing procedures, and finding optimal organizational and legal solutions.
