On January 31, the National Museum of Fine Arts named after Gapar Aitiev will host the second stage of a master class dedicated to the sewing and embroidery of the traditional beldemchi. The event will be led by Turar Turganaly, a member of the Union of Artists and an experienced craftswoman, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture.

The beldemchi is a traditional wrap skirt or cape with a wide belt, which is an important part of the Kyrgyz women's national costume. It is worn over a dress or a chapan and symbolizes femininity, dignity, protection from the cold, as well as a connection to cultural traditions. The beldemchi is usually made from velvet, silk, or other fabrics, and is adorned with embroidery that has deep symbolic meaning.

Participants of the master class are required to bring their own materials: fabric (velvet or corduroy) measuring 1m by 1.5m, as well as tools — embroidery threads, needles, and scissors.
