Creative and soulful communication took place in Almaty


In Almaty, on February 3, 2026, a meeting was held between the granddaughter of the famous Kyrgyz writer and diplomat Chyngyz Aitmatov, Chinara Aitmatova, and the poet, diplomat, and public figure Olzhas Suleimenov. This was reported on social media by political figure and former deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Zainidin Kurmanov.

During the meeting, Chinara presented Olzhas Suleimenov with a commemorative medal of the Issyk-Kul Forum named after Ch. Aitmatov.

She also conveyed on behalf of her father a copy of Olzhas Omarovich's nomination to the Nobel Committee for the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize, as well as two books: the monograph "The First," dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the founder of Kyrgyz statehood Imanalay Aydarbekov (St. Petersburg, 2014), and "Confession of a Lawyer" — the memoirs of her father, Professor of Law Karpak Kurmanov, which is an indispensable source about the friendship and brotherhood of the Kyrgyz and Kazakh peoples.



On May 16, 2026, Olzhas Suleimenov will turn 90 years old. Zainidin Kurmanov expressed his best wishes for Olzhas Omarovich, wishing him health and success.
