As a result of artificial reproduction, 812 thousand eggs of Issyk-Kul trout were obtained and placed in incubation devices for future cultivation. The Ministry of Agriculture reported that the hatching process was successfully completed.
During the cultivation, losses were observed, amounting to 8%, which resulted in 747 thousand fry. The yield was 92%, which is a very positive indicator. "At the moment, the fry have started receiving starter feeds specially prepared for them," the agency added.
In addition, artificial reproduction of 2.5 million eggs of the omul fish has been carried out, which are also in incubation devices. The hatching process takes 82 days, and it is expected to be completed by March.
