“Previously, private taxi drivers picked up passengers in front of the police station building. However, there are now signs prohibiting parking here, making it impossible to stop and wait for a taxi in this location,” the press release states.
This decision is aimed at organizing traffic on one of the key streets of Karakol. This area is characterized by high traffic loads, as there is a gas station, an educational institution, and the police office nearby.
Relocating the taxi stand to the bus station will help reduce congestion, increase safety, and improve the organization of traffic flow,” the message adds.
