Previously, the bus station did not have a toilet, and residents repeatedly raised this issue with local authorities.
According to local residents, the new toilet is too small, and they believe it was installed without proper attention to standards.
Tursunaly Azhykulov, a resident of Nookat, stated that the installation of such a toilet is perceived as a mockery. He noted that the bus station, returned to the state more than a year ago, does not meet requirements, drivers face problems, and traffic jams form on the roads. Despite the large area, there is no asphalt, and the toilet looks out of place.
Azhykulov added that the area of the bus station is 57 acres. “The territory is large, and cars could enter and exit normally, but there are no conditions for this. People built fences themselves. The city administration allocated 500,000 soms, but there are no provisions for the toilet and landscaping,” he said.
According to information from the video material, the toilet cost 8,000 soms. The demand for creating conditions at the bus station has been raised repeatedly but has not been fulfilled.
Due to the lack of amenities, taxis and public transport stop on the side of the road, leading to traffic jams in Nookat.
The mayor of the city, Askarali Abdiyev, reported that the toilet is temporary. A total of 30 million soms will be needed for a complete renovation and to bring the bus station into order. “The bus station was privately owned, and we struggled to return it to the state. Now, to bring the bus station into order, we need 30 million soms. The city budget is 90 million soms, of which 85% goes to social needs. Therefore, we do not have the opportunity to implement larger projects,” he explained.

He added that the project for the new bus station is already ready and has been submitted for state review. “If funds are allocated, we will be able to quickly build a bus station that meets international requirements. The current solution is only a temporary measure,” Askarali Abdiyev informed.
The project for the new bus station includes the digitization and automation of all services; however, the main problem remains the lack of funding.
