“Although we did not experience that time, older generations claim that the hockey team from Ak-Tyuz was one of the best in the republic. At the upper part of our village, there is a stadium that is used for football matches in the summer and for hockey in the winter. It was there that the hockey competitions took place. The team from our village actively participated in the republican championships. According to the elders, this photo was taken in 1982 or 1977, as major hockey tournaments were held in our settlement during those years,” added A. Turdubekov.
