Turmush — 28-year-old Arthur Sedov, who lives in Bishkek and is actively engaged in sport fishing, as well as organizing competitions for children in Kyrgyzstan, showcased his new catch.

Arthur first picked up a fishing rod at the age of 12 at a pond in Kaindy, Panfilov district. Since then, he has been traveling across Asia for 18 years in search of large fishing trophies.

Under the nickname "Asian Wanderer," he shares his fishing adventures. In early September, Arthur talked about how he went to the Indian Ocean hoping to catch a shark.

Previously, he also displayed his catches from the Ili River, where he managed to catch a 4 kg snakehead and a 20 kg catfish.

This time, while in India, Arthur befriended a huge catfish.

“I found an abandoned well near my home and, while exploring it, saw a catfish over a meter long. How it ended up in the well and what it fed on remains a mystery. I named it Kolodchik and started feeding it small fish and squid. Now it swims to me when it hears my voice,” A. Sedov said.

“It’s very interesting to watch how the catfish finds its food in the dark,” he added.
