In 2025, prosthetic and orthopedic services were provided to more than 11,500 citizens in Kyrgyzstan. This information was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration.

According to official data, the number of people receiving such assistance increased by 7 percent compared to the previous year.

For the operation of the specialized institution, 123 million soms were allocated, which is 10 percent more than in 2024. These funds allowed for the implementation of advanced technologies and expanded access to services for citizens in need of mobility aids and individual products.

As part of the ongoing large-scale modernization of production, the institution received 97.8 million soms. Contracts were signed for the supply of modern equipment that meets international standards, as well as for staff training.

As a result, the technology for producing innovative hand prostheses named "Kibi" and "Indi" was mastered, which were provided to 34 children. The state covered 76 percent of the cost of these products.

Additionally, in Bishkek, the "FabLab" laboratory from South Korea manufactured and delivered two electronic hand prostheses for adult citizens.

Specialists continue to work on improving models of orthopedic footwear and limb prostheses, taking into account the individual needs of patients.
