In 2026, the Open Joint Stock Company "National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan" will acquire 268 new transformers, according to information provided by the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As part of the preparation for the heating season of 2026-2027, it is planned to modernize substations of both high and low voltage across the country.
At 20 substations with high-voltage networks of 35 and 110 kV, the capacity of power transformers will be increased by 256 MVA.
The distribution of new transformers by regions will be as follows:
- Bishkek — 2 units;
- Jalal-Abad region — 5 units;
- Issyk-Kul region — 5 units;
- Naryn region — 2 units;
- Talas region — 2 units;
- Chui region — 4 units.
The distribution of these transformers by regions is as follows:
- Bishkek — 46 units;
- Osh region — 46 units;
- Talas region — 42 units;
- Jalal-Abad region PES — 29 units;
- Issyk-Kul region — 28 units;
- Naryn region — 27 units;
- Batken region — 22 units;
- Chui region — 8 units.
