For its operation, waste will be delivered from the Chui region
A second waste recycling plant is planned to be opened in Bishkek, as announced by the city's mayor, Aibek Junushaliev, at a city hall meeting.
He reminded that on December 27, 2025, the first eco-technological plant in Central Asia was launched in the capital, capable of processing from 1 to 1.2 tons of solid household waste per day and generating up to 30 megawatt-hours of electricity. To date, this plant has already processed 80 thousand tons of waste.
According to Junushaliev, construction of a second similar facility will begin in 2026. This will increase the total capacity of the complex to 3 thousand tons per day, allowing for the processing of waste not only from Bishkek but also from the Chui region.
In addition, the development of the sorting and recycling complex continues, which will be able to process 100 tons per day. Plans also include the launch of a plant that will focus on deep processing of waste and produce goods for municipal needs, such as benches, trash bins, manholes, paving slabs, and other products.
