The Society Awaits Clarifications from the General
The return of Kamchybek Tashiev, the former chairman of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), to Kyrgyzstan has removed many questions, but some remain unanswered. This was reported by activist Atai Beyshenbek on his social media page.
According to the activist, "in a recent interview, President Sadyr Japarov answered several important questions."
Given Tashiev's upcoming press conference, the public is interested in a number of topics, including: "Will he support the president in the future? Does his position on not wanting to run for president remain unchanged? Was he aware of the 'letter from 75 elders' and what is his attitude towards it?"
Beyshenbek expressed hope that clear and open clarifications will soon be provided on these and other questions, and that we will see long-term relations between the two friends that are not dependent on material wealth or power.
