This was reported by the press service of the Traffic Safety Department of the Osh region's Internal Affairs Directorate.
According to the agency, this requirement has been introduced in accordance with the KR Law dated February 15, 2023, No. 27 "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts in the Field of Road Safety." In accordance with it, a provision has been applied, supplemented by Article 37, paragraph 1 of the KR Code on Offenses.
The gross violations that serve as grounds for retaking the exam include:
- driving a vehicle without a state registration number;
- failure to comply with a lawful order to stop the vehicle;
- exceeding the established speed limit by more than 40 km/h and more than 60 km/h;
- failing to yield to vehicles with activated special lights and sirens;
- entering the oncoming lane while overtaking or violating maneuvering rules;
- violations that result in damage to road structures or other property;
- traffic accidents that cause harm to a person's health;
- allowing a person in a state of intoxication or without a driving license to operate a vehicle.
The department noted that this measure has been introduced to reduce the number of traffic accidents and increase driver accountability.
