Construction of the second waste recycling plant will begin in Bishkek

In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, the construction of a second solid waste recycling plant with eco-technologies will begin. The head of the mayor's office, Aibek Junushaliev, announced this information at the final meeting of the board.

According to him, the first such plant in Central Asia, which was opened on December 27, 2025, is already demonstrating positive results. In a short period, it has managed to recycle 80,000 tons of waste. It is worth noting that the plant has a capacity of 1,000-1,200 tons per day and can produce up to 30 MWh of electricity.

Junushaliev stated that the construction of the second plant is scheduled for 2026, which will increase the total recycling capacity of the complex to 3,000 tons per day.

Additionally, the development of the sorting and recycling complex, which has a capacity of 100 tons per day, is ongoing.

An important aspect is that the production capacities of the new plant will be directed towards creating products for urban needs, including benches, trash bins, manholes, and paving slabs.
