According to the center's information, as of January 2024, free kidney transplant surgeries funded by the state have begun. Currently, 38 such procedures have been completed.

On February 12, 2026, another surgery was performed as part of the state program. The recipient was 39-year-old A.N., who had been on chronic hemodialysis for eight months due to stage five kidney disease. The operation was successful, and his condition is now stable. He is in the intensive care unit of the NCMD transplant department, and his 37-year-old brother A.M. was the donor.
The transplant department of NCMD is equipped with modern technology and staffed by qualified specialists.
For the first time in the history of NCMD, an immunological testing method is being implemented to improve the kidney transplant process. These studies play an important role in modern transplantation, allowing for individual donor matching, predicting rejection risks, adjusting immunosuppressive therapy, and increasing the lifespan of the transplanted kidney. Specialists from the center have undergone training in Turkey and Russia to implement these methods.
“The development of the transplantation program is one of the priorities of the Ministry of Health. Thanks to government support and the professionalism of our surgeons, high-tech surgeries are now successfully performed in Kyrgyzstan, allowing us to save the lives of our citizens without the need to go abroad,” noted the NCMD.
According to the latest data, there are currently 206 patients with stage five chronic kidney disease waiting for a kidney transplant. The medical team at NCMD is continuously accepting patients for consultations and preparation for potential surgeries.
