The Ministry of Education states that the total number of holidays remains unchanged.
In spring, schoolchildren in Kyrgyzstan will have only one day off — March 6. Saturday and Sunday, as usual, remain weekends for educational institutions operating on a five-day system.
The reduction of spring holidays, which occurred after the third quarter, caused dissatisfaction among parents last year when the information became known. However, the Ministry of Education did not make any changes to the schedule, citing amendments to the Labor Code, according to which the winter and May holidays in 2026 became longer.
There will also be no transfer of the holiday on March 8, which coincides with Sunday, as the corresponding changes in the Labor Code were canceled.
