The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan announced the launch of an international detective fiction contest called "Sert." This event will be held for the first time on the international stage.

The contest is aimed at raising the cultural and moral level of law enforcement personnel, as well as fostering patriotism and dedication to service. Special attention is given to reflecting the specifics of the service and demonstrating examples of selflessness and professionalism.

The organizers invite authors from the fields of journalism, writers, as well as representatives of law enforcement agencies, both local and foreign, to participate.

Entries are accepted for previously unpublished detective works in the genre of major prose (novels, novellas, short stories), written in Kyrgyz or Russian, and based on real events related to the feats of law enforcement personnel.

The submission period will last until April 1, 2026. Participants must provide information about themselves, including their last name, first name, patronymic, age, profession, address, and contact phone numbers.

Works will be evaluated based on criteria such as relevance to the contest theme, artistic level, completeness of plot development, professional skill, accuracy of events, and the portrayal of a police officer.
