In Kyrgyzstan, the establishment of funds aimed at supporting local community initiatives is planned, which will operate in five cities and rural areas of the republic.
According to information provided by the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, the agency has signed a cooperation agreement with several non-profit organizations, including the Public Fund "Civic Participation," the Center "Interbilim Osh," and "Youth of Osh."
According to the announcement, the goal of this cooperation is to implement a pilot project that involves the creation of support funds for initiatives in the specified regions. The project aims to enhance citizen participation in local budget matters, support their initiatives, and assist in the implementation of community-beneficial projects.
The Ministry of Finance will provide consulting and methodological resources to local self-government bodies, while partner organizations will focus on training, conducting information campaigns, and supporting initiative groups at all stages of the funds' operation.
"This project will contribute to strengthening the role of local communities in managing budgetary resources, increasing the transparency of their distribution, and creating effective conditions for the operation of funds across the country," the official statement notes.
