The national championship in sambo has opened in Bishkek, which includes both sports and combat disciplines. The venue is the Kaba Uulu Kozhomkul Sports Palace, where 320 athletes from all corners of the country have gathered.
High-ranking guests attended the opening ceremony, including the Deputy Director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, Buzurman Bagyshbekov, as well as representatives from various federations and coaches.
On the first day of the tournament, athletes are competing in the weight categories of 58, 71, 88, and 98 kg.
The championship will last until February 19, after which a national team will be formed to participate in international competitions.
