According to information provided by the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui Region, on February 5, a 42-year-old man, K.A., reported to the Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Ata District. He stated that at 13:21, he received a call from strangers via WhatsApp who asked him to dictate a four-digit code. After this, 1,999,006 soms were withdrawn from his electronic wallet at "Eldik Bank."

Based on this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 209 "Fraud" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During operational activities, law enforcement officers were able to identify the suspect — a 39-year-old man, T.E.

According to the investigation, he used Telegram to purchase bank cards from citizens, explaining this as a necessity for working with cryptocurrency exchanges. It soon became clear that the stolen funds had been transferred to one of the cards that the suspect had bought from third parties. This card belonged to another person and was used for cash withdrawals and money transfers.

The suspect was arrested and placed in a temporary detention facility in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Currently, investigative actions are ongoing, and law enforcement agencies are establishing all the circumstances of the case, as well as the possible involvement of other individuals.
