
The event was dedicated to the International Mother Language Day, which is celebrated on February 21.
A language festival in the format of "Sarmerden" took place at the Ministry of Emergency Situations, featuring talented youth. This was reported by the press service of the ministry.
On the small stage of the Ministry, young participants showcased their talents by demonstrating their knowledge of proverbs, tongue twisters, riddles, as well as the art of aitysh and the performance of the epic "Manas".
Minister Urmatbek Shamyrkanov also attended the event.
At the conclusion of the celebration, he presented commemorative prizes to the participants and delivered a congratulatory speech.
“This day was proclaimed by the General Conference of UNESCO in 1999 and has been celebrated since 2000 to support cultural diversity and multilingualism. The future belongs to educated youth. By mastering the Kyrgyz language and studying other languages, we can gain a deeper understanding of the cultures of various peoples,” emphasized the minister.
In addition, he urged the youth not to forget and to develop the oral folk art of the Kyrgyz people.
