Avalanches and snow drifts may threaten several roads, including:
- the Bishkek - Osh highway (sections 121–138 km, Too-Ashuu pass; 198–265 km - Chychkan gorge, Ala-Bel pass);
- the Myrza-Ake - Kara-Kuldja - Alayku road (55–115 km);
- the Ala-Buka - Kanysh-Kiya highway (45–112 km, Chapchyma pass);
- the Krasnaya Gorka - Ak-Tash road (0–3 km);
- the Sary-Tash - Daroot-Korgon - Karamyk highway (97–98 km);
- the Bishkek - Naryn - Torugart road (292–305 km, Dolon pass);
- the Aral - Min-Kush (1–14 km) and Aral - Suusamyr (8–21 km) highways;
- the Balikchy - Kazarman - Manas road (sections 201–205, 260–290, and 326–349 km, Kok-Art pass);
- the Karakol - Enilchek highway (45–90 km, Chon-Ashuu pass).
The Ministry of Emergency Situations recommends that drivers maintain a safe distance of at least 500 meters between vehicles.
