Figure of the Day: There are 3.7 million men living in Kyrgyzstan

Of the total number of men, about 67% live in rural areas, and one in seven men is a resident of the capital.

As of 2024, the employment rate for men of working age is over 77%.

The most noticeable age group among working men is those aged 35-39, who make up about 14% of all workers in the country's economy.

Men in Kyrgyzstan most often find work in key sectors such as construction, transportation, extraction of mineral resources, and energy (including electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning).

In 2024, 45,000 men got married, mainly between the ages of 20 and 29. The average age for first marriage is 27.6 years, and for remarriage, it is 39.6 years.

Additionally, in government structures, men constitute a significant majority: 55.4% work in state administration bodies, and 62.3% in local self-government bodies.
