The State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic reminds citizens that when making payments in restaurants and cafes, the issuance of a fiscal receipt from the cash register (KKM) is mandatory. This information was announced by the press service of the GNS.

Often, instead of an official fiscal receipt, customers are offered a pre-check — a document that contains a list of ordered dishes and is generated in the establishment's accounting system, or simply a screenshot with information about the order. These documents do not have the status of fiscal receipts, do not confirm the fact of payment, and are not accounted for in the tax system. According to the GNS, such practices are intended to conceal actual income and evade tax payments.

It is important to remember that when paying, the waiter or cashier must:

- announce the order amount;

- clarify the payment method;

- provide the customer with a paper fiscal receipt from the KKM.

Food establishments participating in the pilot project for the implementation of fiscal software are required to conduct transactions using this software and carry out online data transmission. Those who do not participate in the project must use registered cash registers. Thus, depending on the chosen operating system, either fiscal software with online transmission is used, or a standard KKM.

A fiscal receipt is the only official document that confirms the registration of payment in the tax system, the receipt of taxes into the budget, and protects consumer rights.

The tax service urges citizens to always demand fiscal receipts when making payments in restaurants and cafes to avoid financial risks and ensure transparency in transactions.
