As a result of the tournament, the winners of the city championship and the championship were determined.
On February 21 and 22, the championship and championship in Shotokan Karate-do took place in Bishkek, as reported by local authorities.
About 450 athletes representing various clubs and sections of the capital participated in these competitions.
The tournament was organized in two main areas of karate:
- kata — demonstration of technique, precision of movements, sequence, and concentration;
- kumite — sparring, where athletes demonstrated speed, accuracy, and tactical skills.
According to the results of the competitions, winners and prize-winners were determined in different age and weight categories. All of them were awarded diplomas and medals.
In the team standings, the prize places were taken by:
- 1st place — SKIF-Bishkek club with a total of 55 gold, 52 silver, and 58 bronze medals;
- 2nd place — STAR karate club, which won 32 gold, 35 silver, and 24 bronze medals;
- 3rd place — Shito-ryu club, which received 1 bronze medal.
