Measures have been taken in Osh to demolish the schools named after Salizhan Zhigitov and M. Lomonosov. In this regard, students from one of these institutions have been transferred to online learning, as reported by the local education department.
About 2000 children study at the S. Zhigitov Secondary School. It is expected that the remote format will be in effect until the start of the summer holidays, and classes will resume in the usual mode on September 1, as the construction of a new building is planned by that time.
Students from the Lomonosov School, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, have been transferred to another educational institution where there are available spots.
According to plans, 10 new schools will be built in Osh by 2026.
