In a recent open dialogue with the clergy of the Roman diocese, the Pope addressed the priests with a request to refrain from using ChatGPT for writing sermons. He emphasized the importance of returning to real life and urged them to be mindful of issues related to artificial intelligence and the internet.

The Pope noted that, like any other muscles, the brain requires training. "If we do not use it, it can atrophy. Our capacity for intellectual reflection needs support, and a true sermon must be based on faith, which artificial intelligence will never be able to convey," he added.

Furthermore, the Head of the Roman Catholic Church called attention to the difficult conditions many young people find themselves in, including family crises, lack of parents, and divorces. He also pointed out the difference between a deep spiritual life and superficial activity on the internet, where likes and followers create a false impression of significance and self-realization.
