At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on February 26, deputy Aigul Akhmedova reported ongoing cases of counterfeit Kyrgyz passports and driver's licenses in Russia. She noted that she has received appeals from citizens reporting the sale of such documents to foreigners, which could lead to offenses, including traffic accidents. As a result, the responsibility for these actions may fall on the citizens of Kyrgyzstan.

In response to this statement, Deputy Attorney General Umutkan Konkubaeva pointed out that such crimes occur on the territory of Russia, and the Kyrgyz authorities have no right to intervene.

“Our legislation clearly prohibits interference in the legal systems of other countries. This fraud occurs not only in Russia but also in other states, such as France. The responsibility for such actions will be borne by the offenders according to the laws of the country where they were committed,” she explained.

Akhmedova also expressed concern that these situations damage the reputation of Kyrgyzstan.

The Deputy Attorney General added that earlier representatives of the enterprise "Unnaa" assured that it is impossible to forge Kyrgyz passports and driver's licenses, as all security measures are strictly observed. “If you have specific evidence, please provide it, and we will review it,” Konkubaeva concluded.
