She has contacted the Ministry of Culture with a request regarding the legality of the ongoing work
On the previous day, February 25, renovation work was observed on the installation of a ventilated facade on the building of the Kyrgyz State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports named after B.T. Turusbekov. This was reported on social media by public figure Bermet Borubaeva.
According to her, this building has the status of a monument of architecture of national significance, which raises questions about the legality of the actions being taken, as they may lead to the destruction of the historical facade.
“We have sent a request to the Ministry of Culture to find out whether these works have been coordinated with the relevant agency. Conducting insulation and other works on cultural heritage sites requires careful preparation and coordination with experts. According to the legislation, it is necessary to preserve the cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan,” she noted.
Bermet Borubaeva also expressed concern about whether the work is being carried out in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic and whether it will preserve the historical appearance of the building's facade.
“In 1992, this institute was graduated from by the President of Kyrgyzstan, and we hope that the head of state will assist in this matter and ensure the preservation of historically significant sites,” she added.
