The purpose of this meeting was to inform businesspeople about the content of the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, adopted on January 28, 2026, under number 18, as well as to ensure compliance with its provisions. This decree introduces a temporary moratorium on unscheduled tax audits for entrepreneurs operating in accordance with established rules, effective until December 31, 2026.
During the meeting, the prosecutor of Balakchy elaborated on the goals and main provisions of the Decree and emphasized its significance for protecting the rights of entrepreneurs and reducing administrative barriers.
The senior assistant prosecutor also presented available examples, clarifying the procedure for implementing the norms established by the Decree, the legal mechanisms, and the steps that entrepreneurs need to be aware of.
Additionally, participants were provided with practical recommendations regarding the timelines for tax audits, the formation of plans, and mechanisms for supporting businesses during the moratorium period.
During the discussion, representatives of the business community actively asked questions. Topics discussed included possible audits under the moratorium, interaction with tax authorities, and the protection of entrepreneurs' rights.
