The athlete from Kyrgyzstan performed successfully at the prestigious Greco-Roman wrestling tournament
The international sports wrestling tournament MUHAMET MALO–2026 concluded in Tirana, where Kyrgyzstani Uzur Jusupbekov won the bronze medal in the 96 kg category in Greco-Roman style.
In his first match at the tournament, Jusupbekov secured a confident victory over Amanberdi Agamammedov from Turkmenistan with a score of 9:0.
However, in the quarterfinals, he faced Arthur Sargsyan from Russia and suffered a defeat with a score of 0:9. Nevertheless, this result opened the way for him to the consolation matches due to his opponent reaching the finals.
In the match for a place in the small final, the Kyrgyzstani managed to defeat Mahammad Akhmadiev from Azerbaijan, winning with a score of 8:2. In the decisive match for third place, Jusupbekov defeated Iranian Amirreza Moradiyan with a score of 4:2, earning him the bronze medal at this significant international tournament.
