In connection with the worsening situation in the Middle East, the Secretary of the Security Council of Kyrgyzstan, Adilet Orozbekov, organized an emergency meeting with the participation of leaders of law enforcement agencies and other relevant departments.

During the meeting, important issues regarding the interaction between state institutions were discussed, including the fate of Kyrgyz citizens who found themselves in the combat zone. Orozbekov noted that urgent measures need to be taken to protect them and organize their return home.

He also emphasized the need for round-the-clock monitoring of the situation in the Middle East until it is fully resolved.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan was tasked with determining the exact location of the citizens of the country who are in the danger zone, as well as developing options for their safe temporary accommodation and, if necessary, organizing their evacuation from the conflict zone.

In addition, uninterrupted operation of hotlines within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as at embassies and consulates abroad, must be ensured to provide emergency assistance and consultations to citizens.

“Our task is to ensure the safety of all citizens, both in the combat zone and at airports due to the closure of airspace. This is our direct responsibility,” stated Secretary Adilet Orozbekov.
