More than 200 athletes are participating in the competition
On March 1, the grand opening of the Bishkek City Cup in sumo for juniors and adults took place at the Specialized Children's and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve named after Ratbek Sanatbaev. This was reported by the press service of the mayor's office.
More than 200 athletes from the capital, Chui region, Sokuluk district, and Issyk-Kul region, as well as students from the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, are participating in the tournament.
The competitions are held in three age groups: for participants under 12 years old, juniors under 18 years old, and adults over 18 years old.
Girls aged 5 are also competing in the tournament.
