On his Facebook page, the head of the department, Sultan Stambekov, announced the new equipment for the oncology department of the National Center for Maternal and Child Health. There are now two isolated rooms specifically designed to provide palliative care for children who require special attention, symptom monitoring, and a high quality of life.

Palliative care was previously provided; however, now there are separate rooms where patients can receive the necessary care. Stambekov noted that this is a significant improvement in the conditions of assistance.

Thanks to the support of sponsors and the charity fund "We Believe in Miracles," the rooms have been further equipped with everything necessary for the comfortable stay of both children and their parents.

"These are not just rooms - this is a space where a child can be safe, free from pain, and close to family," said the head of the pediatric oncology department.

“Palliative care is a crucial component of modern medicine. It includes pain and symptom management, psychological support, and respect for the dignity of each patient. It’s about humanity,” Stambekov added.
