The deputy expressed dissatisfaction with attempts to tarnish his reputation.
During a session of the Jogorku Kenesh, Erlan Kokulov commented on the incident related to the issuance of a traffic violation protocol, which was recorded on video involving traffic police officers.
He noted that his actions had come under criticism and attempts at defamation.
According to Kokulov, the incident occurred at 7:00 PM, but the traffic police only visited his home at 11:00 PM. They conducted a search and found his car, but the deputy emphasized that according to the Constitution, a search cannot be carried out against him.
A representative of the traffic police stated that the deputy's complaint is under review, and a written response will be provided. However, Kokulov pointed out that this is not exactly what was discussed.
The official added that investigations are currently underway.
“Our officers arrived in response to calls from local residents. The investigation is ongoing, and we will report the results,” he stated.
The deputy inquired whether the Instagram accounts where the video featuring him was posted are official pages of the agency. The official responded negatively.
“Why, by violating my constitutional rights and my right to privacy, are you making me a subject of ridicule on the internet? Why did your officers not have body cameras when they came to me? One of them issued a protocol without a uniform. If you do not follow the law yourselves and are chasing hype, making a mockery of a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh and the son of the Kyrgyz people, how can you conduct driving tests?” Kokulov exclaimed.
