In Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, the international tournament Bigser Cup 2026 has begun, gathering the best gymnasts from the region. The event is taking place at the "Gazprom - for Children" sports and health complex and has been included in the calendar of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) for the first time, highlighting its significance.
More than 200 participants from six countries, including Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan, are competing for medals. The President of the Bishkek Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation, Evgenia Bykovskaya, noted that the successful organization of previous tournaments, quality judging, and support from participating countries were the main factors in obtaining the FIG license.
The competition program includes both individual performances and group exercises, making the tournament spectacular and interesting. For many gymnasts, this event is not only a chance to strengthen international ties but also an important step for confirming sports qualifications and identifying the best in their categories.
The names of the winners in various disciplines will be announced on March 8, the final day of the tournament. Organizers emphasize that such competitions contribute to the popularization of rhythmic gymnastics in Kyrgyzstan and enhance the skill level of local athletes on the international stage.
