In Kyrgyzstan, 9 million trees will be planted
The national program "Zhasyl Muras" continues to be implemented in the country.
In 2026, as part of the "Zhasyl Muras" program, the planting of 9 million tree seedlings is planned in Kyrgyzstan, as reported in the government report.
According to local authorities, to date, 3 million 820 thousand 663 seedlings have already been planted in the country, covering an area of 3 thousand 250.6 hectares. Care and irrigation for the planted trees are also being carried out.
In 2025, as part of this campaign, 8 million 239 thousand 915 seedlings were planted on 6 thousand 420 hectares, with a survival rate of 74.5 percent.
Among the various species of trees planted under the program, one can find poplar, elm, birch, oak, walnut, pistachio, almond, apple, apricot, as well as Tien Shan fir, pine, juniper, and mulberry.
