
The event will include negotiations aimed at deepening cooperation among Turkic peoples.
The Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Marlen Mamataliyev, met with the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TurkPA), Ramil Hasan, as reported by the parliament's press service.
During the meeting, Mamataliyev emphasized the need to strengthen ties among fraternal nations through parliamentary diplomacy in today's world.
“The new composition of the Jogorku Kenesh is focused on productive cooperation with the parliaments of all Turkic countries and the successful implementation of joint projects within the framework of TurkPA,” he added.
The Speaker also reminded that another plenary session of TurkPA will be held in Kyrgyzstan this fall.
“I am confident that within the framework of this event we will be able to conduct in-depth negotiations and reach agreements that will contribute to the development of relations and deepen cooperation between our peoples,” he noted.
Ramil Hasan, for his part, shared information about current projects and plans, as well as expressed readiness for serious preparations for the upcoming fall session.
He also mentioned a planned informal meeting of the leaders of the parliaments of the Assembly member states.
Additionally, the meeting discussed the development of TurkPA's partnership with inter-parliamentary organizations not only in the region but also in Europe and Latin America.
TurkPA was established in 2008 and includes the parliaments of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey. Representatives of the parliaments of Hungary, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan actively participate in the Assembly's events.
