Medical professionals requested to send specialists for training on how to use the new equipment, but faced pressure from management.
At a joint meeting of two deputy groups, Deputy Bakhridin Shabazov raised the issue of the use of medical equipment in the Kant city hospital.
He reported that the endoscopic equipment, which was delivered to the hospital last year, has not been used for over a year because medical staff did not undergo the necessary training courses.
Shabazov emphasized that doctors had requested to be sent for training; however, instead of assistance, they faced pressure from the administration.
“The situation is paradoxical: doctors raise important issues, and the ministry essentially punishes them for it. I urge to stop such practices. We all work for the same cause — if doctors identify a problem, it should be addressed,” the deputy noted.
Deputy Minister of Health Tilek Mamadaliev, for his part, stated that he recently took office and promised to look into the situation.
“We will not allow doctors to be persecuted by the ministry. I will find out who could have said such things to the doctor. I am ready to meet personally with this doctor,” he added.
