An ebru exhibition featuring a UNESCO master will take place in Bishkek

From March 31 to April 3, an exhibition dedicated to the art of ebru will be held at the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after Gapar Aitiev. This event is organized by the "Ebristan" foundation with the support of the Turkish embassy.

The exhibition will showcase works by various masters, as well as live demonstrations of the ebru technique. The honorary guest of the event will be Hikmet Barutçugil, one of the renowned masters of this art and holder of the title "Living Human Treasure" from UNESCO. Alongside him, Kyrgyz artist Mukhlisa Imamova, who is actively promoting ebru in Kyrgyzstan, will also present her works.

As part of the program, there are plans to create flags of Turkey and Kyrgyzstan using the ebru technique, as well as an image of the Aigul flower, which symbolizes the Batken region. Guests of the exhibition will be able to observe the process of creating the works and learn more about the intricacies of this unique art.

The organizers emphasize that ebru is an important part of the cultural heritage that has traveled from Central Asia to Anatolia and symbolizes the connection between traditions and modernity. The exhibition aims to strengthen cultural ties between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.

The opening ceremony will take place on March 31 at 15:00.
